What is Jackfruit Powder and how do I use it?
A finely milled powder from raw jackfruit. Mix into doughs and batters or use as a light thickener.
How much should I add to chapati/roti?
Start with 20–30% of total flour for easy handling; move up to 40–50% if preferred. Use warm water and rest the dough for softness.
Can I add it to idli/dosa batter?
Yes. Add 1–2 tbsp per person to the batter, then adjust water for normal spreading/steaming.
Does it change taste or texture?
Mild flavor; texture may be slightly softer/denser at higher ratios. Kneading and resting help.
Can it be used in baking?
Yes. Replace 15–25% of flour in pancakes, muffins, or breads; increase liquid slightly if batter feels thick.
